When you say the word accounting, it generally is not associated with words like excitement, new, or interesting…however, recently the HB accounting staff was infused with three new team members. We are excited about our new team members and how their abilities will allow us to re-structure roles and responsibilities to meet the needs of HB moving forward.
Please join us in welcoming:
- Monique Coombs, AP Coordinator brings extensive experience with AP and accounting support from her previous position with Fannie Mae where she was for 16 years.
- Amber Carter, Property Accountant/Financial Analyst will be leveraging her experience at KPMG as she transitions from public accounting to the private sector. Amber will be providing accounting/transactional support to the operations, development, and acquisition functions within the accounting team.
- Janelle Campbell, Property Accountant will be bringing her real estate experience at CoStar as a member of their internal accounting department to the other side of the industry. Janelle will be handling the close and other related accounting tasks for the most properties within the portfolio.
We would also like to acknowledge, Natalie Reed’s recent promotion to Assistant Controller. She will be taking on some additional tasks such as managing the AP process including vendor management and additional corporate accounting responsibilities. Hale Swanson, who was promoted to Sr. Property Accountant in the fall of last year, will continue to take on more responsibilities related to the monthly close process and overseeing the monthly draw process. We are also sad to be “losing” Rossnat Rodriguez, to the Property Management Department, but excited for her opportunities as she moves into her new role as Director of Compliance.
One of the things that I love about working at Horning Brothers is the ability to assess the needs of where the company is heading and make changes to support those needs. The last couple months have been anything but boring in the accounting department and there is a lot of excitement as we move HB forward.
